Wii News
FYI, 30 million is a lot. It’s also the number of Wii’s that have been sold in the United States alone. Worldwide the number is closer to 45 million. Yeah, those are crazy bonkers numbers. Nintendo is killing it this generation, and it’s only a matter of time before Wii surpasses Sony’s PlayStation 2 as [...]
Anyone looking for a major update for WiiWare or the Virtual Console will be disappointed this week, sorry. Well, I’m not sorry because it’s not on me, it’s on Nintendo. Unfortunately, I can’t “officially” offer apologies for Nintendo. I should be able to though, they would be some totally kick-ass apologies…
“On behalf on Nintendo I [...]
Right, so I still haven’t tried out the Wii2HDMI. I know, there’s really no reason I haven’t except that I’ve been a bit tired. This weekend I should for sure though, so we’ll talk more about it next week. In the meantime, did you know Super Mario Galaxy 2 has sold more than 1 million [...]
During E3 I mentioned the Wii2HDMI peripheral from Neoya, and today I’ve got my hands on the adapter. If you don’t recall, the Wii2HDMI is an adapter that plugs into the Wii’s AV port and allows you to connect to your TV via an HDMI cable. It’s still plugged into a Wii, so if you’re [...]
You know what really sucks? Realizing that you can’t depend on other people. Don’t worry, I’m not going all emo on you; I’m not in danger of becoming a cutter or doing myself other bodily harm, like befriending a ginger. This isn’t about some childhood friend abandoning me in an hour of need. I’m talking [...]
If any of you are lucky enough to be reading this in a part of the country, or world, that isn’t hot as balls, I hate you. Seriously, it’s ridiculously hot here in Atlanta. The grass in my front yard has taken on a healthy brown hue to them; I think it may be some [...]

GAMEON, the gaming division of Impact Global Solutions, announced a full line of Minii Wii [...]
Yeah, I know the title of this post doesn’t sound like it’s the running diary that I promised you yesterday. That’s because it isn’t. As I’m sure you can tell, this is the highly anticipated Part 2 of TheSpin’s Official Wii E3 Media Blowout aka The “Nintendo Murdered E3″ Media Blowout Pt. 2!!!
Before we get [...]
Alright, I wanted to do a Bill Simmons-esque retro diary of Nintendo’s E3 conference, but I’m way too tired for that. My co-worker decided to hurt her back yesterday so she could take the next two days off work, which means it’s all me all day, and I get to work double shifts. Yeah, this [...]
You know one of the worst things about the week of E3 is the fact that there’s no way I’ll have any time to actually play videogames this week. Of course, if I was at the conference that would be a totally different story. I’d be able to play all sorts of games if I [...]

When WWE.com leaked a video proclaiming a "Revolution is Coming", many people thought this marked the return of Matt Morgan. The person in the video must be CM Punk since the video was posted to promote the announcement of WWE '13 next week.
James Pungello of VGutopia writes "Sonic 4 Episode II is the follow up to the 2010 Sonic title that showed fans the events directly after the Sega Genesis game Sonic and Knuckles. The second episode in Sonic 4 was set to fix many of the issues from the first episode and expand on Sonics universe with some familiar friends and foes. See how it fared in our review."
GameSpot: "Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II is a solid though unremarkable continuation of the long-running formula."
It can be an exclamation of purest joy or utmost terror, unbridled surprise or sheer excitement; whatever the occasion, Oh Sh**! marks truly excellent and only the most memorable moments in gaming.
If you think about it, peripherals are the lifeblood of gaming without a method of input, wed go nowhere.
The game industry has seen its fair share of peripherals electronics encased in plastic molds that often have a nice, aesthetic look about them. Some of them, like our favorite console controller or gaming mouse, help bring us an endless amount of joy. Others, like the NES Power Glove, bring us an infinite amount of futility and frustration.
So for this new edition of Pixelitis Picks, a few of us deemed it important to share with you our favorite gaming peripherals, and likewise the ones that would be better off in a garbage heap.
In over 25 years of home consoles, Nintendo's done more than just produce ever-improving gaming systems that give us more complex, better-looking games: it's also been a major influence on how we play our games. The company has often been responsible for bringing new control schemes to the mainstream, or adapting ideas from others with its own unique touch.
After the leaked redesigned Wii U controller photo caused so much debate over button placements and joysticks, Nintendo Life shows the evolution of Nintendo's controllers from NES to Wii U.
